Kate attended the wedding at the Church of Saint Cyriac, an Anglican church in Lacock, Wiltshire.
John Robinson, the multimillionaire founder of the Jigsaw fashion chain, loaned his hillside Hibiscus Villa to William and his girlfriend, Kate, after being told the Prince wanted to holiday on the island - but was worried the cost was beyond his reach. William said he would love to have a holiday on Mustique but he couldn't afford it because he was a poor student.
24-year-old Kate turned up with her sister to watch William when he returned to Eton College for an old boys' Field Game. After years of determinedly keeping their distance in public, the couple now don't care who knows that they are very much an item.
Her boyfriend may not have been there, but Kate looked comfortably at home in the royal box at Cheltenham. It is the first time Prince William's girlfriend has appeared with his family at a public event and her presence provoked speculation that an engagement is in the offing. The fact that her boyfriend of four years was not even present - the trainee soldier was confined to barracks at Sandhurst - shows just how accepted she now is.
While William is enrolled at Sandhurst Military Academy, Kate keeps busy by shopping.
